Stripe card reader (S700 / S710) troubleshooting

Common fixes for the Stripe Reader S700 / S710.
Open the settings menu
Swipe right from the left edge of the reader's screen and tap Settings. The admin passcode is 07139.
Change the Wi‑Fi network
Settings → Wi‑Fi settings → choose the new network and connect. If payments fail, a dropped Wi‑Fi connection is the most common cause.
Restart the reader
Hold the power button (right side) and choose restart (or power off, then power back on). This clears most temporary glitches.
Re-register the reader
If the reader won't connect to your account, generate a new pairing code (Settings → admin passcode 07139) and register it again in your Stripe Dashboard under Terminal → Readers. See How to set up your Stripe card reader.
"Terminal" isn't showing as a payment option at checkout
The Terminal payment method only appears once wakesys has linked your reader to your point of sale. If you've registered the reader in Stripe but don't see Terminal at checkout, contact wakesys so we can link it.
